Carolyn’s love for design comes from her understanding that people’s productivity and attitudes are significantly impacted by their surroundings. This drive started in her early teens when she had the unique opportunity to work with her father, an engineer at NASA, on the early preliminary design of the US space station. With this as the fuel, she received her Bachelors with Honors in Interior Design at the University of Texas in 1980.
Through her unique career path, Carolyn has gained complete understanding of every aspect of the commercial interior industry. Her experience includes turnkey interior architectural design, creative impact statements for retail, hospitality and corporate, graphic identity packages, facility standards and master plans, as well as complete facility start-ups and relocation management. She has gained a strong reputation of thorough, quick analysis of situations; creative, timely, cost-effective, solutions; and systematic follow through to completion.
Carolyn is an NCIDQ Certified Interior Designer, State of Georgia Registered Interior Designer, Professional Member of IIDA, and a LEED Accredited Professional. She founded Jones-Meyer Consultants in 1991, then co-founded CrossFields with her husband in 2004.
Leanne established herself as an artist at a very young age and participated in numerous theatrical productions throughout her youth. In her teens when she discovered her father’s architectural drawings, she was inspired to study Interior Design. Living in the Chicago area, Leanne took advantage of the abundant opportunities to study the work of many renowned architects. Leanne completed her Bachelor’s of Interior Design at the prestigious Harrington Institute of Interior Design in Chicago.
With the world famous Merchandise Mart nearby, she gained exposure to many aspects of the design industry and began working in the field while in school. Leanne has worked in various capacities in the industry including systems furniture specialist, interior designer and project manager. She has been active in professional organizations such as I.B.D. for which she served as the coordinator for monthly educational seminars early in her career.
Leanne brings to CrossFields extensive furniture knowledge, exceptional project management skills, and a desire to help her clients achieve the best solution for their needs. Her goals include creating highly organized functional solutions that are aesthetically inspiring and appropriate for the climate of the business and the tasks performed, as well as providing the greenest solutions possible.
Design has always been an integral part of Lindsay’s life. From an early age she demonstrated artistic tendencies which led her parents to enroll her in local art classes. There she developed an eye for proportion and color and an appreciation for the relationship between the aesthetics of art and the emotion it can evoke.
Lindsay studied abroad in Italy, the United Kingdom, and Germany where she observed and analyzed different styles of Art, Interiors, and Architecture and further explored the connection between art and its affect on people. She graduated with Honors from the Art Institute of Atlanta with a Bachelor’s degree of Fine Arts in Interior Design.
Lindsay began her career in Atlanta with a model home design firm, experiencing the entire design process from concept to completion. Her design aspirations led her to California, working as a Graphic Designer for a Web Design firm. Upon moving back to Atlanta she began working at CrossFields as a Designer and CAD Manager and is instrumental in developing and maintaining CrossFields’ CAD and graphic standards.
Lindsay is certified in Revit Architecture, a member of Autodesk User’s Group International and a LEED Accredited Professional.
Ashley’s passion for design has been evident throughout her life. Her childhood was comprised of sketching, painting, and experimenting with color and composition. While in high school, she traveled to Rome to study classical art and architecture. Immersed in that environment, her passion was fully realized and she resolved to pursue a career in Interior Design.
While applying to different universities, she won a design competition from a prominent art school. She ultimately chose to obtain her degree from Georgia Southern University. During her senior year at GSU, she won the annual Icons of Industry Scholarship for Hospitality from NEWH and was flown to New York to accept the award among her peers at the annual Gold Key Awards.
Ashley completed fall/summer internships at CrossFields from 2004-2007 as well as at a hospitality firm the summer of 2007.
